Sono nata e vivo in Veneto, in un paese nebbioso dell’Alto Polesine. Mi sono diplomata in Pittura all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona e ho lavorato da sempre nel mondo dell'immagine: come illustratrice (le ultime collaborazioni con la casa editrice francese La souris qui raconte); come pittrice e atelierista per cinque edizioni della Mostra Internazionale d’illustrazione di Sarmede a Verona; come autrice di immagini, installazioni e eventi espositivi con un collettivo di illustratrici. Nell'ultimo periodo ho alternato le pubblicazioni e il lavoro di decoratrice con l'insegnamento di Discipline pittoriche in un Liceo artistico.

I’m Giovanna Gazzi, I live in a small, misty village of Western Veneto, very close to the Po River and very far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I studied Painting at the University of Verona and have worked as school and children books illustrator. I have cooperated for five years with the township of Verona on the occasion of the International Exhibition of illustration for children. I organize Painting and Illustration workshops concerning reading abilities projects for children aged three and more and refresher courses for teachers of nursery and primarys chool; and I’m involved in training museum operators to Art Didactics. I have been cooperating with a theatrical company to organize and create stages. Now I’m working with different Italian and french Publishers; recently I have exposed in Verona and in other towns my drawings, thematic works and illustration anthologies.
